Disney animated films have been a go-to choice for movie-going families ever since the first full-length animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
Decades have passed since that monumental moment in animation history and still Disney movies evoke feelings of magic, hopefulness, and positivity within generations of people.
Though the journey hasn’t been perfect and the history of the Disney Animation department hasn’t always been easy, they have kept going and continue to diversify and innovate to stay relevant in modern times.
Disney Animation’s journey through the years can be categorised into these groups:

- Wartime Era (1942-1949)
- Silver Age (1950-1967)
- Bronze Age (1970-1988)
- Renaissance Era (1989-1999)
- Post-Renaissance Era (2000-2009)
- Revival Era (2010-2019)
- Revival Era (2020-present)
