Revival Era (2020s)

It’s currently being discussed whether Disney Animation is still within its “Revival Era” now we’ve hit a new decade, or if it should have a new title.

Disney’s releases since the COVID-19 pandemic have received mixed reviews and have struggled at the box-office, in part due to the lockdowns of the pandemic, but also because of the release of Disney’s streaming service, Disney+.

Although I have enjoyed the majority of the animated movies released in this decade, I am aware that this is not the case for many who have been disappointed year after year. This isn’t surprising, seeing as all film studios will go through periods of time where they make amazing movies, and other times when they make a few duds.

Perhaps Disney will get back on track soon and be able to interest and delight a wider demographic once more.
