Non-Disney Live-Action Movies

There are so many animated movies in the world, but there are even more live-action movies, so let’s focus on those types of movies that fall into the category of family-friendly entertainment. I can’t physically review and research every movie in the world.

It’s not very often that a Disney live-action movie will be confused for a non-Disney one, but occasionally it happens, especially if the live-action movie is based on a fairy-tale or story that Disney has already adapted in either animation, live-action, or both, like all the various Peter Pan or Snow White adaptations that have existed over the decades.

Many of the most beloved family-friendly live-action movies are not actually Disney. Just look at the Paddington series, or the Harry Potter films, or even Labyrinth (1986). None of these are Disney, and we still love them. Disney cannot be the be-all and end-all of anyone’s film experience.

Please note that this page is not being updated as frequently as other pages such as Pixar Movies and Disney Channel Original Movies, two categories of film that I’m currently spending more time on. There is also not a specific list for Non-Disney Live-Action Movies, so if there is a particular movie you would like to read a review on, feel free to contact me via my social media.
