The Early Years

1995-2005

After years of experimentation, Pixar hit the ground running with their first fully computer-animated movie Toy Story (1995). Despite being released in the 1990s, in the middle of Disney’s “Renaissance Era“, Toy Story was a valuable addition to animated movie history, gaining a loyal following from the off.

Pixar is loved by not only children, but adults as well, who, amongst others, thoroughly appreciate the humour that can be found in Pixar’s films, yet not in some of Disney’s, who have been just a little bit too cautious not to offend at times.

Some of Pixar’s best films were made in the first decade after Toy Story’s release in 1995, with many of them being given sequels in the years that followed.
